A Faithful Pet Highlands of Scotland,
As we all know dogs are faithful to there owners if only some owners could be that way to there dogs. This is a tale of a dogs love, we also know dogs can see things we cant at times like ghosts.
About 100 years ago a elderly crofter's wife passed on he was heart broken his sons now had there own croft and all he had was his dog that his wife had loved just as much as she had loved him. The dog felt the loss as well and would not eat or even move from the fire place. The crofter thought he was going to loose the dog as well. Then just a few weeks later the dog picked up and started to eat and want to go out for it's walk the crofter was amazed by the dogs new turn of life. When they went out the dog would not leave his side and would come if called on, however one day the dog ran off no matter what the crofter did the dog still did not come back after a few hours the crofter went home fearing his dog was gone for every. About one hour later the dog came back. This went on for weeks one day each week the dog would be gone for an hour or more, the crofter said the next time it happend he would find out why. The day the dog went off the crofter followed in his own time to the top of a small hill. There a short distance away was his dog walking beside a woman, who looked a lot like his wife. The dog seemed to be playing with the woman, as he went to ask her what she was doing the woman faded away. The crofter knew then that, that was his wife and the dog enjoying there time with each other, from then on he left the dog knowing in his heart the dog and his wife were happy playing.
